I was as surprised as everybody else that the Bills fired Shonert so close to the regular season starting.  I can’t say that I’m disappointed though.  I always liked VanPelt.  I think he will do at least as good of a job as Shonert had.  Then again, when you are starting off that close to the bottom, there is nowhere to go but up.
